Golf Course Review: Asheville Racquet Club Golf
Very Poorly Maintained
Golf course has been trimmed down to nine holes in order to make a zip line course over the remainder. The nine that remains is very short and is a par 34. It is now a part of the Asheville Racquet club. The nine holes that are open are very poorly maintained. Granted we have had a lot of rain here lately, but they have far and away fallen behind all other courses in the area. Played twice last week over 3 days straight in which they had no rain (a record I think for this area this year) and on none of those days did I see where any mowing had occurred. I lost 3 balls in the middle of the fairway! The sand traps have become a joke and many are now caved in. As a memeber of the club I have been very disappointed and everyone in management there I have approached states that they do not have the man power or equipment available.
My advice is to stay away from this course unless you've already been rooked in as I have. Hopefully things will improve as the weather gets better...but I wouldn't hold my breath and I'll definitely not be renewing my membership.

Based on my experience: I would play the course again.
